You might remember that during last weeks TopGear episode in between the parts where Hammond drives some taxis, May stands around a bit, and Clarkson plays some tennis to demonstrate what it’s ziare like to drive the new Ferrari F12, he wee’s himself driving the BAC Mono.
As we know, the Stig is a binary being, so only the smell of burning electricity emanates from his trousers, well, it would if he wore any, and he doesn’t know what fear is. Naturally, this makes him capable of flinging the Mono around the TopGear track, mostly sideways, like an absolute maniac to set a lap time of 1:14.3, making the Cheshire built Mono the second fastest car ever to lap Dunsfold (the TG track).
If you’re unfamiliar with the BAC Mono, here are some vital numbers; one seat, 280hp from a naturally aspirated 2.3liter four-cylinder by Cosworth, 540kg, 520hp per ton, 0-62mph in 2.8 seconds, 170mph top speed, and a retail price of 110,328.
