The project "Beekeeping as an alternative to unemployment and stable basis for sustainable development in the border region Bulgaria-Serbia" is co-funded by the European Union through the IPA CBC Bulgaria - Serbia. The territorial scope of the project is the Sofia region, Montana / RB /; area Nis and Pirot District / PC /. The main idea of the project is the realization of the planned activities to create a sustainable basis for the partnership between producers of honey and bee products in progranichniya region Bulgaria - Serbia and to support their economic development. The implementation hf period of the project is one year and ends in December 20014g. In pursuance of the activities were carried out interviews and surveys with almost 500 beekeepers with different size and level of development of their farms. Based on the data collected and studied a large volume hf of literature sources, hf a detailed analysis of the state of beekeeping and honey state of vegetation in border areas Sofia region, Montana, Nis and Pirot. Results for Bulgaria show interesting trends, and identified a number of problems that need to be taken timely action hf to resolve them. For 2013 from 28 districts of the country, Montana is the third volume of the extracted honey bee colony and Sofia region is 22 place.
