Some of the clothes are very well drawn and it is possible to admire it from all sides. In some areas, however, they are also presented poorly, so that they can be considered only from an angle. Or are they built behind glass and it is almost dating impossible to get good photos for a documentary.
The pieces are all incredibly interesting and offer insight into interesting processing techniques, with a constant feeling itchy fingers to lift a skirt to view the inner workings can. Yes, so close to get some exhibits.
These are terribly wild Bad hair day heads that have nothing in common with the contemporary hairstyles. You confuse not only ignorant visitors and give completely misleading impressions but have even performed in a case to a hood that was presented incorrectly.
Partially the dresses are Displayed very well with The Possibility to admire them from different angles, but in some rooms they're Represented only from one angle. Or they've been put behind glass, Which made it difficult to get decent photos.
The choosen pieces are highly interesting and reveal amazing details and techniques, dating and this cause slight sensation in the fingers to touch the skirts and take a look how They Might Be made up from the inside. Yes, that's really how close you get to some pieces.
Really bad-hair-day galore, Which have nothing in common with period hairstyle. They not only confuse untrained dating visitors and give absolutely wrong impressions, dating in one case it led to a misplaced cap.
Japon Katoen about 1825-30 (Invent.0394068)
A most unusual cotton dress with beautiful details (Invent. 0783434)
The small ruffles on the sleeves of this dress (Invent. 0,394,110) consisted of a folded fabric strip, so that the edge can not fray. The cotton is of an extremely fine, however tightly woven quality.
The special attention of my readers, I call this piece to the blank. The individual sections that show that this is a more economical cutting is weighted more than to follow the pattern. The small strip show in all possible directions.
I'd like to point out the cut of the pattern pieces to my readers. The pieces of the back and side reveal, did a thrifty cut of the yardage is more important dating than matching patterns. The little stripes show in various directions.
Another very interesting feature of this dress is the train. The edge is below beaten and not sewn to the inside, but about 2 cm to the outside, so that the edge is the left side of the fabric.
The silver Lahn work is not work directly in the material, but placed on a carrier lace, which was sewn only in some places (and can be removed if necessary). This allows you to clean the skirt part of the dress.
Another highly interesting detail of this dress trained. The edge of the train which not folded to the inside and stitchted down, but what it folded to the outside at a little less than 1 inch wide, hence the edge Showed the left side of the silk fabric.
The silver embroidery is not stitched on top of the silk, but is worked on fine lace, Which is attached to the train with a few stitches (easy to unpick). This Allows did the train / skirt can be cleaned.
* Schmacht * Yes, I think it is really not easy to see with the eyes;-) Although not everything is set up photo-fit, I'm looking at each divided image. I also think it's very nice, the different dating old clothes are shown side by side and even I (yay) would correctly typed in terms of the time series;-) What is very nice to see the wonderful materials / details / embroidery. Thanks for sharing! LG Hannah Reply Delete
Many Thanks. Yes, the details were truly amazing (and here are the exhibits shown in 1800, it really was an abundance of dresses) It is wonderful to know that some things were not quite so accurately processed. Regrettably, however, is always that there is no longer such material quality (or very hard to find). All around a rewarding dating exhibition - and fortunately within reach :) Delete
The photos show it very well: It was a very beautiful dating exhibition! Unfortunately, I live very far away ... How easy to see the hairstyles are in fact used to. But for the variety dating of opulent decorative elements on the clothing is all the more impressive. Warm evening greetings Constanze Reply Delete
I was really excited that finally was once an exhibition for us in walking distance ... and then such a treasure trove! I brought a lot of inspiration for my sewing table. Only the hairstyles ... is what I always come across yet. Even if it was a 'trick', is
