People who are looking for greater happiness and satisfaction in life should head to northern Europe and certainly keep you out of Egypt, and the countries worst affected by the crisis in the eurozone, according to the second annual 50 report on the happiness in the world, which on Monday announced the "Earth Institute" at New York University Columbia by order of the United Nations.
The happiest countries in the world are Denmark, Norway, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Sweden, according to a survey conducted among 156 countries in which the Croatian 50 second consecutive year ranked 58th place with moderate happiness index (5.66 on a scale of 1-10). Of the countries in the Croatian neighborhood, Slovenia on 44 scale, Kosovo on 83, while Serbia 106 and BH 107, one or two places behind Iraq. One of the countries that recorded the greatest "evil" compared with last year's report is that Greece has fallen from 42 on 70th place. Other countries affected by the crisis, such as Italy, Portugal and Spain also suffered big falls. The biggest 50 took place in Egypt, waterlogged political turmoil. At the rear are Rwanda, Burundi, Central African Republic, Benin and Togo - order states in sub-Saharan Africa. U.S. 17 in the world in terms of total happiness and behind Canada (6th place), Australia (10), Israel (11th), United Arab Emirates (14th) and Mexico (16th place). United Kingdom in the report is the 22nd place, Germany 26th, Japan on 43, Russia 68 and China 93 While "the world became a little happier and more generous place over the last five years," the economic and political turmoil has resulted in a decrease in satisfaction 50 in some countries, the report said. In evaluating the countries were taken into account various factors, including health, family, job security, as well as social factors such as political freedom and government corruption. It turned out that wealth is not the only thing that makes people happy. Political freedom, strong social networks and the absence of corruption are together more important than income in explaining the difference between the top and bottom. On the individual level are key good mental and physical health, life supports, job and a stable family. 50 This is the second time that the UN and Columbia University published "World Happiness Report". First published last year. (Hina) 50
